Electrician Common Core Level 2
Electrician Common Core Level 2 program allows employer-sponsored students to continue in the Construction Electrician apprenticeship pathway. Through instruction in the classroom, as well as working in the lab and shop, you will build on the skills learned in Level 1, including mathematics, circuit concepts, and more.
You will learn all of the general area competencies required of a Level 2 electrician and be prepared to continue your apprenticeship pathway at the conclusion of the technical training. After successful completion of the program, you will be able to work as a 3rd year apprentice.
Upon graduation, you can qualify as an apprentice electrician on both residential and commercial construction projects.

Length of the Program: This program is 8 weeks long (300 hours total)

This Program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training.
- Prior to acceptance, applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and
1) Must have completed
▪ Electrician Level 1 technical training from an institution recognized by the Industry Training Authority; or
▪ Foundation Electrician technical training program from an institution recognized by the Industry Training Authority
2) Students must be a sponsored apprentice registered with ITA prior to starting the program and writing the ITA-BC Certification Exam.
3) Students must pass ACE Community College English test (Reading, writing , Speaking and listening ) with 70% or more

- Line I- Install and maintain protection devices
- I1: Install Overcurrent Protection Devices
- I2: Install Ground Fault, arc fault and surge protection devices.

- H1: Single-phase Consumer/Supply Services and Metering Equipment: Install
- Line L- Install nd maintain bonding, grounding and ground fault detection systems
- L1: Install Grounding and Bonding Systems
- Line Q- Install and maintain raceways, cables and enclosures
- Q1: Install Conductors and Cables
- Q2: Install Raceways, Boxes and Fittings
- Q3: Maintain Conductors, Cables, Raceways, Boxes and Fittings
- Line V-
