Solar Energy Training

In a two-week Solar Energy Technician program offered by Ace Community College, the curriculum is condensed yet comprehensive to cover the essential knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions in the solar energy industry. Throughout the program, there is a perfect balance between theoretical instruction, practical training, and hands-on experience to ensure that students are adequately prepared for entry-level positions as solar energy technicians. Additionally, guest lectures from industry professionals and field trips to solar installations can provide real-world insights and networking opportunities for students.

Program Duration: 2 weeks (60 hours)

Comprehensive Curriculum:

  • Condensed Yet Comprehensive: Cover all essential aspects of solar energy technology in a streamlined two-week format.
  • Theoretical Instruction: Gain a solid understanding of solar energy principles, photovoltaic systems, system components, and installation techniques.
  • Practical Training: Apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on training sessions, simulations, and laboratory exercises.
  • Hands-on Experience: Engage in real-world projects and scenarios to develop practical skills essential for success in the field.

Balanced Approach:

  • Perfect Balance: Strike the ideal balance between theoretical instruction and practical application to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
  • Preparation for Entry-Level Positions: Prepare students for entry-level roles as solar energy technicians by emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Individualized Attention: Benefit from personalized guidance and support from experienced instructors dedicated to student success.

Note: This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
